Twin Pines is proud to host and organize many volunteer and outreach opportunities to our congregates and community, and are continually looking for new opportunities that we can participate in as well.
Blanketeers
Heart 2 Heart Baggers
Our Blanketeer group makes fleece blankets that are donated and distributed through our local Fayette Co. Sheriffs Dept. to children who may be caught up in a traumatic situation and given a blanket to help comfort them.
No sewing or previous experience it required to help out! We are happy to teach anyone who would like to help.

Our Heart-2-Heart Baggers process clean plastic grocery bags to create plarn (plastic yarn) that is then crocheted into sleeping mats for the homeless in Lexington.
We take donations of grocery bags throughout the year, and there are many ways to help by helping to flatten out and process the bags, and the process of crocheting them!

Both the Blanketeers and Heart 2 Heart Baggers meet the 3rd Thursday of every month.
Food Assistance
We participate in supplying lunches and sandwiches to local organizations like Natalie’s Sisters and Catholic Action Center’s Sandwich Ministry. Along with ongoing collections for non-perishable foods that are donated to God's Pantry or locally when a need arises.
