Ministers and Staff

Brenton is a proud Kentuckian, born and raised in the Bluegrass State. He studied Philosophy and Religion at Georgetown College before heading to Duke University for his Master of Divinity. After about a decade away, he and his wife, Rachèle, returned to Kentucky for her job and to put down roots near where he was raised. Brenton and Rachèle have two daughters and have lived in Lexington since 2019. Outside the church, Brenton enjoys reading, hiking, playing video games, or cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.

Brenton's core conviction is that nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39). He seeks to live out this conviction through transformational teaching, building loving community, and sharing God's blessings through mission to the world. This shapes everything about how he wants to lead Twin Pines: committed to teaching that transforms hearts and minds, building community where people experience God's unconditional love, and mission that extends Christ's love and justice into every corner of our world.

We are excited to welcome him as our Senior Minister as of March 8th, 2026. 

Marsha was born and raised in Mansfield, OH. She began her Commissioning Journey with the Disciples of Christ (DoC) Church in 2005 and was commissioned in 2012. She previously served here at Twin Pines Christian Church (DoC) as our Outreach Minister from 2012-2016. She moved away from Lexington in 2016 and landed in Washington, PA. Although she was not on staff at Fairhill Manor Christian Church (DoC), she led their Outreach Team until she joined the long-term volunteering program with Brethren Disaster Ministries (BDM). BDM is in partnership with the Disciples Week of Compassion Disaster Response program. Marsha was called back to Lexington in 2021. Marsha returned to her role as Missions Minister at Twin Pines on October 1, 2021.
