Rev. Susan Ellis answered her call for ministry in 2005 and was ordained in the Disciples of Christ denomination in 2009 right here at Twin Pines. She took a full-time position at Northside Christian Church in Omaha, Nebraska in 2010 and while serving in Nebraska she continued her training by becoming a chaplain and working at Mercy Hospital in Omaha. She retired in 2020 and returned to Kentucky. She and her wife Debbie now reside in Lexington. Susan's start date was July 1, 2021.

Marsha was born and raised in Mansfield, OH. She began her Commissioning Journey with the Disciples of Christ (DoC) Church in 2005 and was commissioned in 2012. She previously served here at Twin Pines Christian Church (DoC) as our Outreach Minister from 2012-2016. She moved away from Lexington in 2016 and landed in Washington, PA. Although she was not on staff at Fairhill Manor Christian Church (DoC), she led their Outreach Team until she joined the long-term volunteering program with Brethren Disaster Ministries (BDM). BDM is in partnership with the Disciples Week of Compassion Disaster Response program. Marsha was called back to Lexington in 2021. Marsha returned to her role as Missions Minister at Twin Pines on October 1, 2021.
