BLANKETEERS/BAGGERS
Blanketeers meet at the Church to make fleece blankets for the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department (and any other group that may need them) that are given mostly to children involved in traumatic situations. Sewing is NOT required to be a part of this ministry. If you can use scissors and/or a rotary blade you are good to go. Knot tying will be demonstrated and band-aids are available!!! Blanketeers meet the first Thursday of the month in the Adult Study Room from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The Baggers meet the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Adult Study Room from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm! They make sleeping mats for the homeless. We will start collecting plastic grocery bags, i.e. Kroger, Walmart, Meijer again when we start back up in the fall. These bags will be prepped, crocheted and then given where they are needed. Clean, empty and in decent shape grocery bags, can be brought to the Church and placed in the container under the Mission Table in the Disciple Life Center. |

1.) Empty medicine vials only. Please make sure the labels are off of the vials. Over-the-counter bottles are not accepted by the Lexington Humane Society.
